Degussa Holding Spain SL., with registered office in Barcelona, Spain, is a private limited holding company engaged in the purchase, administration and sale of stocks and shares of companies related to construction Chemicals (production of concrete additives, flooring and specialty products), Fine and Industrial Chemicals (production of fine chemicals, bleaching and water chemicals), Performance Materials (production of mild shampoos and shower gels), Coatings and Advanced Fillers (manufacturing of building and industrial colorants) and Specialty Polymers (development of high performance polymers). Degussa Holding Spain was incorporated in March 2003. Degussa Holding Spain provides group planning and strategy and in particular exercises financial control over its subsidiaries, settles their general policy and appoints their top managements, and provides central services. Degussa Holding Spain is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Degussa AG, Germany's third-largest chemical company and the world market leader in the production of specialty chemicals. The company's global and ultimate owner is RWE AG, a German-based company engaged in the provision of utility services, environmental services, printing machinery and constructions. One of Degussa Holding Spain's subsidiaries is BASF Construction Chemicals Espana S.A., a private company engaged in the manufacture and sale of chemical products.
